Conference «Risk management of Microfinance Institutions»

Expert Discovery made a presentation at the conference «Risk management of Microfinance Institutions», which took place on April 15th 2016.

Expert Discovery participated in the practical debate «Risk management of Microfinance Institutions: MFI, CCC (Consumer Credit Cooperative), ACCC (Agricultural CCC) and pawnshops experience», which took place on April 15th 2016 in conference hall of the “North Tower” business center (MIBC «Moscow-City»). The conference was held by the National Partnership of Microfinance Market Stakeholder (NAUMIR). The event agenda covered such issues as implementation of the risk management standards in MFIs, development of individual credit risk assessment models applied to both individuals and legal entities, maintenance of adequate liquidity, and many others.

Sofia Ievenko - Managing Partner of Expert Discovery – made a presentation «Fraud Risk Management in Microfinance Institutions». In her report, Sofia shared with the audience a list of sample corporate fraud cases in MFIs as well as a practical case study with demonstration of appropriate investigation procedures and further potential improvements of internal control system.
